Kodansha USA Publishing announces a Shaman King Spinoff delay including the Spinoff Series
Last weel, Kodansha USA Publishing and comiXology Originals announced that Shaman King, Hioryuki Takei’s shonen manga classic, is making its English return and will finally be completed! Shaman King‘s return features brand-new cover art from Takei himself and the final 3 volumes that have never been published in English. All 35 volumes will be available digitally as part of comiXology Originals line of exclusive content at no additional cost to Amazon Prime member with Prime Reading, Kindle Unlimited, and comiXology Unlimited. The volumes will also be available for purchase.
“It’s been over 10 years since I’ve completed Shaman King. But finally –– at last –– I can deliver the true ending to the story to the fans in America,” says Shaman King creator Hiroyuki Takei. “It’s a message from my heart, and I think it’s a particularly important one in this day and age. I hope that it’ll reach the hearts of many comrades.”

Originally supposed to be available yesterday, Kodansha USA Publishing regretfully announced a delay, sincerely apologizing, but ensuring fans will appreciate the finals results. This delay also delays the releases of the spinoff series Shaman King Zero, Shaman King: Flowers, Shaman King: Super Star, and Shaman King: Red Crimson. The delay of all Shaman King is to make sure fans get the complete experience without fear of spoilers or narrative confusion.
We don’t have an exact release date yet for Shaman King or any of the Shaman King Spinoff Series, but we are assured it will be announced shortly. Lastly, the delay will not affect the Shaman King print editions scheduled for 2021 and 2022. While the delay is a bummer, the numerous Shaman King Spinoff Series has got me really excited. Shaman King was one of my favorite Fox Box cartoons, and I can’t wait to see how it ends and hopefully the new beginnings.
