MultiVersus is bringing Shaggy, Harley Quinn, Jake, Batman, Arya Stark, Bugs Bunny, and more of WB’s most famous characters into this cross-platforming platform fighter
The age-long question of pitting Batman against Superman has been addressed in numerous fighting games. But how about Batman and Superman vs. Shaggy and Bugs Bunny??? These REAL and IMPORTANT questions will be answered in Warner Bros. Games’ (WB Games) MultiVersus! WB Games has introduced this all-new-free-to-play platform fighter, ala Smash Bros and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, that will feature a team-based 2 vs. 2 format combined with an ever-expanding cast of iconic characters. The game was developed by Player First Games and scheduled for worldwide release in 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC with full cross-play support. Unlike other platform fighters, MultiVersus will have a strong emphasis on online cooperative play. Each fighter will be outfitted with a deep set of combat mechanics that distinguish the game’s fresh take on 2 vs. 2 gameplay. The game will still also feature will also include 1 vs. 1 match-ups and a 4-player free-for-all mode where only one fighter can be the champion. The revealed characters so far are Shaggy, Reindog, Steven, Garnet, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark, Finn, Wonder Woman, Jake, Superman, Batman, Bugs Bunny, and Tom & Jerry. But on top of the all-star character list, the game will feature an all-star cast including Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Batman: Arkham series) as Batman, George Newbern (Justice League vs. the Fatal Five, Injustice 2) as Superman, Abby Trott (Carmen Sandiego) as Wonder Woman, Tara Strong (Batman Ninja, Batman: Arkham series) as Harley Quinn, Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo) as Shaggy, Eric Bauza (Looney Tunes Cartoons) as Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry, Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Arya Stark, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) as Jake the Dog, Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) as Finn the Human, Daniel DiVenere (Spirit Riding Free) as Steven Universe, Estelle (Steven Universe) as Garnet and Andrew Frankel (Jellystone) as Reindog.
