Loot Anime – July 2016 – Squadron Review

GameStop, Inc.

VictoryHere we are with another installment of Loot Anime unboxing. This month’s theme is Squadron, full of goodies from various anime with…um….squadrons. Yeah.

So, without any further delays: the goods.

First up: the t-shirt.

Squadron

The t-shirt comes from the series Gate. According to the included poster, Gate is about a gate (go figure) which appears in the middle of Tokyo and allows monsters from another world to come over and attack. The shirt features the flag of the Saderan Empire. I have never heard of Gate but the shirt is pretty boss, so +1 there.

Since we are on the subject of Gate, the second item is a multi tool carabiner with a Gate pvc charm. Don’t know if I’ll ever use it but it is kinda cool. +0.5

Next is a mini Gundam figure from the Assault Kingdom line. There are 16 different figures you could’ve received. Mine looked kind of meh, but it is a free Gundam and even comes with a stand, so all is forgiven. +1

Next is a replica of Mari Nikaido’s scarf from Anti Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon. The show is about a squad of misfits that must work to stop magical threats. Don’t care about scarves but what I’ve read seems interesting enough to get put into my large anime backlog of stuff I might not ever get to. +.0.5

Arpeggio of Blue Steel is one of those series in my large anime backlog of stuff I might not ever get to. So…….since I keep putting off starting the show, this volume one of the manga with an exclusive Loot Anime cover will have to suffice for now. +1

Then we got the phone charm and poster. Got enough posters and apparently everyone loves phone charms?

So all together, this was a solid box. Enjoyable and possibly turned me on to new anime. You know what I would’ve liked? Some AoT stuff. Oh well. Now on to next month.

The Verdict

Solid enough box this month that makes up for last month’s disappointing box.

Plus Gundams.

Need more Gundams.
