A first look at the childhood picture books and cartoons come to life in Clifford the Big Red Dog coming out November 5, 2021!
Created by Norman Bridwell, Clifford the Big Red Dog has been entertaining children in book and animation form since 1963. Now, from Paramount Pictures, the giant, red, fluffy, hound is making his big screen debut in a live-action/CGI blend of family entertainment on November 5, 2021!
The only sad part in the big budget theatrical release of Clifford the Big Red Dog is that Bridwell will not be around for the red carpet or virtual junket as he passed away in 2014, but like all good things, the legacy often exists long past the creator and we are lucky enough to know that multiple generations will be able to get together and watch Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Little is known at this point if it is an original story or will follow one of the many books penned earlier, but fun is fun and we are sure fans of the franchise will enjoy this new film as we watch Clifford and Emily Elizabeth get into all sorts of mischief.
Official Synopsis:
When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!
