A lot of people who are nostalgic for the past will say something ruined their childhood because of X, Y, Z reimagined by God only knows who. Luckily, that cannot be said about the Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover.
This six-issue mini-series was exciting, fun, thought out and yes, nostalgic. It was like being a kid playing with your toys, wondering what would happen if Batman and the Turtles teamed up. Thankfully, DC Comics and IDW Publishing make that childhood wish come to fruition. The only problem is now we have to say goodbye to our heroes-in-a-half-shell as they return to their Earth and New York City.
What would have been really nice is seeing this story go eight issues instead of the standard six, as seeing the mutated villains in Arkham run amuck a little longer, giving me more reason to geek out. It is more-so wishful thinking on my part, but beyond that, everything I ever wanted in a crossover came about in this series and possibly, in another year or two, we will get to see Batman visit Manhattan.

The end of Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is like moving back home after college to be with your old friends then having to move away again. You know you will see them again, you just aren’t sure when that will be.
