With Batman ’66, inspired by the classic TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward, becoming an instant fan-favorite we knew it wouldn’t be long before Wonder Woman ’77 made an appearance. Based on the Lynda Carter starring television hit, the comic series became a hit as well. DC Comics announced today that Wonder Woman ’77 would be making its return as the Digital First series continues with issue #14 on Monday, February 1st with new chapters being released throughout the spring before the first collected edition drops in June.
Writer Marc Andreyko is returning to the title to be followed by a rotating roster of writers for each successive story such as Ruth Fletcher Gage and Christos Gage, Trina Robbins. These writers will be joined by various artists unique to each story including Richard Ortiz, Cat Staggs, Staz Johnson, and more. The series returns with a new two-part series entitled Claymates. When Clayface feels himself drying up and crumbling he seeks out a cure that leads him to the magical clay of Princess Diana’s home.
DC Comics has given us a first look Claymates story written by Marc Andreyko, with art by Richard Ortiz, colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr. and cover art by Nicola Scott with Annette Kwok.

Travel back to the sizzling ‘70s as the undercover Amazon Princess joins forces with special agent Steve Trevor to defend America against Cold War-era criminals. A search for an escaped Soviet scientist brings Wonder Woman to the hottest disco of the day, Studio 52, where a live stage act might prove more of a threat to Wonder Woman than the Russian Roller Derby girls out to bring the scientist home.
The first print collection hits stores on June 15th, and collects Wonder Woman ’77 Special #1 and #2.
