Warner Bros. has wasted little time in finding a replacement for director for Wonder Woman following Michelle MacLaren’s shocking departure from the film earlier this week. Just now, The Hollywood Reporter is saying that director Patty Jenkins, who was at one point attached to Thor: The Dark World before departing in a similar fashion to MacLaren, has been tapped to take on the DC character.
Jenkins is best known for directing 2003’s Monster, which featured an Oscar-winning performance by Charlize Theron. Amazing, though, Jenkins has not directed another feature film since, working exclusively in television directing episodes of Entourage and The Killing. Gal Gadot is still attached as Wonder Woman and the film is still slated for a 2017 release.
