The Avengers are assembling for one final battle with their greatest nemesis. No, I’m not talking about Thanos, I’m talking about Avatar. While Avengers: Endgame lands in theaters once again ahead of the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home in hopes of dethroning Avatar as the all time highest grossing movie at the worldwide, the Avengers are making plans to head home and they’ll be doing that when Avengers: Endgame lands on Digital HD on July 30, 2019 and Blu-ray on August 13, 2019.
Endgame was certainly a cinematic event unparalleled in history, the culmination of 11 years and 22 movies in the sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It’s such a densely packed work of action and fan service that the movie at times felt absolutely overwhelming, and perhaps being able to watch at a more leisurely pace at home will bring new life to the epic directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
Of course, any movie as absolutely earth-shattering as Avengers: Endgame means that all the stops are going to get pulled out for a home video release. The Blu-ray and Digital HD editions of Endgame will boast an array of special features including audio commentary with the Russo Brothers and screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus. Other bonus materials include standard MCU features such as deleted scenes and a gag reel — some of which I assume will be debuted this weekend during Endgame‘s rerelease. Then there are a number of featurettes listed, exploring the making of the film, the film’s storied cast, and how the MCU went from Iron Man to Endgame in 11 years.
Check out the *SPOILER-HEAVY* new trailer for the home video release and a full rundown of the special features on the Avengers: Endgame Blu-ray are below. Mark your calendar because Avengers: Endgame is coming home on July 30th on Digital HD and Blu-ray on August 13th. You’ll love it 3,000.
