The Cannes Film Festival is just about to get underway in France, which means The Dead Don’t Die, the new zombie film from writer-director Jim Jarmusch, has just had it world premiere. As the cast and crew of The Dead Don’t Die walked the red carpet in France, Focus Features was preparing new looks at Jarmusch’s latest twisted take on the horror genre, following his excellent take on vampires The Only Lovers Left Alive.
Focus Features have unveiled a red band trailer for Jarmusch’s zombie film, as well as two new clips and a little featurette about surviving the zombie apocalypse. Anyone with the least bit familiarity with Jarmusch’s filmography can expect a zombie film that won’t just mindlessly follow genre tropes, subverting expectations and likely taking a leisurely pace to do so.
Jim Jarmusch has assembled an all-star cast to headline his foray into the world of the undead. The Dead Don’t Die is headlined by Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, RZA,b, Carol Kane, Austin Butler, Luka Sabbat and Tom Waits.
Check out the trailer and clips below. Get ready for a new take on the zombie uprising when Focus Features releases Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die into theaters on June 14, 2019.
