Sex Criminals on television?! Crazier things HAVE happened I suppose, but Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky’s award winning sexy crime comic is being developed for television. According to Deadline, Fraction, along with wife Kelly Sue DeConnick, have struck a two year deal with Universal Television to adapt their properties for the small screen, and bring in other creator’s IPs as well. Their production company, Milkfed Criminal Masterminds, has hired Lauren Sankovitch as Managing Editor, and Sex Criminals will be the first project to move forward. Though with its very nature being hard-R rated it will need to be dramatically toned down to end up anywhere other than HBO or Showtime. Still, I’d watch it.
“We’re always excited to usher in fresh voices to the television space, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Matt and Kelly Sue, a fantastic pair whose award-winning comics are as deeply realized as they are entertaining,” said Universal TV EVP Bela Bajaria.
I hope this means we’ll get an ongoing Casanova series as well.
In other news, Robert Downey Jr. posted a new Iron Man-centric Avengers: Age of Ultron poster on Twitter, with an interesting caption.

What this announcement is I have no idea. It could be anything from a new A:AoU trailer to Iron Man 4, and everything in-between. Speculators, get speculating.
Here’s that poster in all of its glory.
