DC Entertainment’s CBS smash hit Supergirl continues her adventures in the new series, Adventures of Supergirl. In issue two Kara must stop a helicopter from crashing while trying to save her adopted sister Alex all before stopping a D.E.O. alien called Rampage, doing laundry, and putting up with the antics of her boss Cat Grant.
A fun 10-page story written by Sterling Gates who has perfectly captured the television series that so many have grown to love. The only thing that would make this arc more fun is if it was translated to the small screen. Bengal’s art is a bit more cartoonish that we have become accustomed to in DC Comics, but works incredibly well for this series.
The DC Universe continues to expand and with Rebirth coming, I can only hope that this incarnation will be quite similar to the live action series and have a lot of back-and-forth going on between the two. Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into the 1990s where if we miss one issue in the comic we will be lost in the live action series.
Supergirl airs on CBS Monday nights and the Adventures of Supergirl can be found online.
