There will always be movies about sex and relationships because humans are inherently dumb when it comes to these matters, compounding mistakes when we should know better. The latest comedy from writer-director Leslye Headland, Sleeping With Other People, looks at these types of scenarios through the eyes of a couple of people incapable of committing to a single relationship. Though the trailer looks fairly generic, the film is produced by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, so there’s a certain element of raunchiness added into the mix.
Sleeping With Other People stars Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis as those who like to play the field, and co-stars Natasha Lyonne, Adam Scott, Jason Mantzoukas, Katherine Waterson, Adam Brody, Amanda Peet, Marc Blucas, and Andrea Savage. Sleeping With Other People opens in select theaters and VOD on September 11th, 2015.

The official synopsis for Sleeping With Other People:
Can two serial cheaters get a second chance at love? After a one-night stand in college, New Yorkers Lainey (Alison Brie) and Jake (Jason Sudeikis) meet by chance twelve years later and discover they each have the same problem: because of their monogamy-challenged ways, neither can maintain a relationship. Determined to stay friends despite their mutual attraction, they make a pact to keep it platonic, a deal that proves easier said than done. Fresh, funny, and full of witty insights about modern love, this hilariously heartfelt film “is the rare rom-com that reminds us why we love them so much in the first place” (Time Out New York). Amanda Peet, Adam Scott, Natasha Lyonne, and Jason Mantzoukas co-star.
