Mashantucket, CT – Scott Kent, President and CEO, and Christine Toledo, Vice President and Matchmaker of Lion Fight Promotions, will be awarded the highest honor at the Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame 15th Annual Awards Ceremony tonight. The pair will be given The Crystal Award for their outstanding contributions to Martial Arts, and also will be officially inducted in the Masters Hall of Fame.
This Award comes four years after Scott Kent and Christine Toledo founded Lion Fight Promotions, the largest and most active promotion in the sport of Muay Thai. Lion Fight is recognized as Muay Thai’s premier event, presenting legitimate championship events across male and female divisions while also preserving the rich culture and tradition of this century-old sport.
Dan Hect, CEO of the Masters Hall of Fame said, “It is my pleasure to present this Award to Scott Kent and Christine Toledo of Lion Fight Promotions for their vision and leadership in growing the sport of Muay Thai in America. In recognition of their outstanding contributions to Martial Arts, we have inducted you into our Masters Hall of Fame. Congratulations Scott and Christine and Lion Fight Promotions for this great honor.”
“I am humbled and honored to receive this Award and would like to thank Dan Hect and the Ambassadors for recognizing everything that Christine and I have done to build Lion Fight into the most respected promotion in Muay Thai,” said Kent. “I also would like to thank Tommy Bogansky for nominating us, and all the incredible athletes, past and present, who have upheld the tradition and culture of this sport. Thank you, Masters Hall of Fame, for this Award. We hope to continue to make you proud!”
“It’s an honor to be inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame and to receive this high level of recognition for promoting Muay Thai,” said Toledo. The entire Lion Fight team puts in a huge effort to give the fans and the athletes a great event while growing the sport and preserving it for generations to come.”
The Masters Hall of Fame takes place tonight, August 1, 2014 in Long Beach, California. The ceremony falls on the exact same night that Lion Fight presents its 17th event on the opposite coast live from the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Scott Kent’s sister, Debbie Kent, is attending the Masters Hall of Fame event and receiving the Award on behalf of Lion Fight.
