April O’Neil joins as a playable character in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge continues to impress with new gameplay footage featuring a new playable character, April O’Neil. April has been long overdue to be a playable character in a TMNT game. I believe she was a playable character in a co-op based TMNT game. She is a playable character in TMNT: Tournament Fighters and TMNT: Smash Up, but the TMNT have always shined in co-op beat’em up gameplay. Dotemu is taking their amazing beat’em up mechanics and reaching new heights with this game. and seeing the way April was added to the key art gives me a lot of hope for even more playable characters to be announced. With the obvious love Dotemu has for the original TMNT cartoon, I expect we will see more characters revealed in the coming months, as we are still expecting a release date. But until then, watch the trailer, get excited, wishlist the game on Steam, and maybe order a pizza.
