Level Up by Loot Crate is now available for everyone – not just current Loot Crate subscribers. Level Up is a new monthly apparel mystery box, but unlike your standard Loot Crate you will need to choose the types of apparel you wish to subscribe to monthly. The choices consist of socks, accessories and wearables. Wearables can include anything from raglans, to polos, long sleeve shirts, and even lounge pants. There is even a chance you will receive seasonal apparel like hoodies, hats and loungewear. Each tier has its own pricing and bundling is also available.
November’s Level Up Theme was Combat and depending on the tiers you subscribe to can include the following.
Socks
EXCLUSIVE Zombie Corps Socks & Vault Boy Socks
Accessories
EXCLUSIVE Nuka Cola Convertible Tote & EXCLUSIVE Hunger Games Mockingjay Necklace
Wearable
EXCLUSIVE Scout Regiment Raglan Tee
The first thing I noticed were the socks, they are large and thick. The kind you might find at Hot Topic for $10 a pair or more. They are a great accessory going into the winter months and a welcome addition to my sock drawer. My feet thank you Loot Crate for relief during the colder winter days and nights ahead. The Scout Regiment shirt is a great fit for fans of Attack on Titan, which I am not. Luckily it’s fairly nondescript enough for nonfans to enjoy its quality and simple style.
The only real weak point in this mystery shipment were the accessories. It seems the that with the apparel you can choose male or female specific items but the November accessories were geared towards the female audience. A Hunger Games necklace and Fallout 4 portable tote didn’t scream unisex to me, luckily I have a wife and 3 daughters so both of those items disappeared before I could reach for my Vault Boy socks and warm my frozen feet. This gripe is entirely gender and preference specific, if you are receiving this to share with your significant other or family like I am it’s a great subscription and a lot of fun to unbox for the whole family.
