It is official, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is coming out August of this year, and pre-orders are available now!!!
A long time ago, there was a little game from WB Interactive Entertainment, that won a bunch of awards, and allowed players to deal serious damage to the orcs of middle earth. That game was Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It was a little game, only millions of people have heard about it or played it, but it was a good game that many wanted a sequel to. Well, wishes have been granted, and on August 22, 2017, the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor, Middle-earth: Shadows of War, is releasing as an Xbox Play Anywhere title on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, as well as Project Scorpio following its launch this holiday season. It will also be available on Playstation 4.
I am amped for this game, the fluid and intuitive combat system, the endless courses of action, and the overall badass-ness of the first game will probably be enhanced to another level this time around. I’m hoping they add some sort of swinging aspect, similar to the Arkham series. That is asking a lot though because I will ask for cape gliding after, then it basically becomes Batman with a sword. However, that sounds awesome, give us swinging and gliding! Sorry- back to reporting.
There really isn’t much more to say about it, that’s not me fanboying out about it. However, next Wednesday we are going ot get a gameplay trailer! But, I may be too busy with the Nintendo Switch to care. Then again, all the game I pre-ordered with the Switch were delayed… so it can go either way. Sorry- side tracked again. Middle-earth: Shadows of War will release on August 22, 2017 for Xbox One, Windows 10, and Playstation 4. We will be getting a gameplay trailer next Wednesday, March 8th, 2017. Head over to Middle-earth: Shadow of War to pre-order and stay tuned for all the latest news and info.
