Maureen “Baby Face” Riordon has signed with Invicta Fighting Championship, the all women’s mixed martial arts (WMMA) promotion.
“Being signed with Invicta quickly became every female fighter’s dream, and I was no different. I am honored and thrilled to call such a promotion home. Not only will I be able to challenge myself against the very best, I feel everything Invicta FC stands for makes it a wonderful organization to contribute my efforts to,” said Riordon.
Riordon, who recently made three profession debuts in three different combat sports in less than four months, beginning with Glory 16 on May 3, 2014 at the 1st Bank Center in Denver, CO defeated Brenda Rodriguez by referee stoppage in the third round.
Baby Face went on to fight for Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) on July 25, 2014, again at the 1st Bank Center and followed by Nordic Coliseum Women Boxing (NCWB1) on August 15, 2014 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Gatineau, QC, Canada.
“I’m excited to see all of her hard work pay off. She wanted Invicta, now she has it. Like she says, never give up!” said Michael Sullivan, Riordon’s train and owner of Sullivan Sambo System.
Riordon’s first opponent has yet to be announced as of press time, but she is ready to take on the world and prove that she is worth to fight with the best of the best in the bantamweight division.
