Luke and Madison Rhoades Open Orange County’s first ever horror themed axes and ales house at ‘Slashers Axe Throwing‘ in Costa Mesa, CA.
Theater kids turned entrepreneurs, Luke and Madison Rhoades, the founders of ‘Cross Roads Escape Games‘ in Anaheim, CA have expanded into the world of axes and ales with their new horror themed facility, ‘Slashers Axe Throwing‘ in Costa Mesa, CA.
In a nation of full of axe throwing themes bars, ‘Slashers Axe Throwing‘ is the only horror themed one (as far as I know) in California, where the Rhoades have taken their love of slasher films and theater, bringing out a world of black light filled fun with a selection of ales and seltzers to start off your night.
‘Slashers Axe Throwing‘ booths are constructed with several of the well known and lesser known movie mayhem makers of the last 50 years that allow you to either throw at the characters who haunted your dreams or various game challenges that for an hour (or two) of full blown physical entertainment in letting out your aggressions.
Slashers is the only venue in Southern California to offer two different sized hatchets as well as a big axe to throw, with interactive projected targets, seltzers and draft beer.
We took our friend, Dr. Chris, a dentist from Huntington Beach, CA to ‘Slashers Axe Throwing‘ where he let out his frustrations regarding patients who refuse to floss, hitting the bullseye several times throughout our hour long session.
We spoke with the Rhoades couple of ‘Slashers Axe Throwing‘, how they decided to launch their theme spot, which had its grand opening on December 1, 2023 and how Bruce (named after horror legend Bruce Campbell) goes off every hour on the hour like a Swiss clock.
