Disney Junior’s hit animated series The Lion Guard has released another collection, this one entitled The Lion Guard: Rise of Scar.
Featuring the voice talents of David Oyelowo as Scar and Rob Lowe as Simba, we follow through the story of our young cub and his friends as the Dry Season has hit.
Unfortunately, when everyone gets uncomfortable and water is scarce a lot of infighting happens. What makes things worse is that Janja’s (voiced by Andrew Kishino) crew join forces with that slithering snake, Ushari (voiced by Christian Slater).
What’s even more terrifying is that theses villainous creatures can’t fathom the horrors they will unleash on the jungle if the spirit of the evil Scar is unleashed!
This has been a fun series that continues the tradition of the all time Disney classic, The Lion King and only enhances the viewing experience.
What’s great is that parents can sit with their children, enjoying these tales of courage and morality without feeling preached to or hit-over-the-head with overly childish storytelling. Something that Disney is known for internationally.
