It is really hard to give a decent review of Last Gang in Town issue two since the whole book is a spoiler. In the last review I said how it was the comics version of The Decline of Western Civilization, well this go around, I’m calling them the “Anti-U.N.C.L.E.
Simon Oliver and Rufus Daylgo delve into the past as the Romans conquered Britannia into the jubilation of the British monarch. There is an air of sophistication, sophomoric humor with a blatant disregard for the bourgeoisie while giving the finger to the proletariat.
If DC Comics is the Super Ego, then Vertigo is the ID that says everything that the Super Ego could not. This series is everything you want in a comic that the big two were too scared to print.
