Nathan (Danny Pudi) & Larry Gaye (Mark Feuerstein) star in Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant
Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant is a throwback slapstick comedy loaded with one-lines in-the-vein of Airplane and Stewardess School where Larry Gaye (Mark Feuerstein) is a womanizing, fast talking man’s man of the friendly skies, seducing women with his charming disposition. Unfortunately for Larry, the six-time “Golden Coffee Pot” Award winner is being outmoded as the biggest cost for the airlines is flight attendants. His replacement? Sally (Rebecca Romijn) a robotic vixen that will be most cost effective alternative but lacks that certain je ne sais quoi to make her the ultimate sky server.
With the help of Nathan (Danny Pudi), Larry gives up his Casanova ways to settle down with the-one-who-got-away, April (Jayma Mays) and restore glory the once honorable profession and prove to the Federation of Flight Attendants, President Stanley Warner (Henry Winkler) the value of human connection over the efficiency of cold steel.
“I hope that people laugh a lot when they watch the movie, they are invested in the characters from Larry to April and our nemeses. I hope that people are invested in the slapstick comedy and the ridiculous. I hope people are up for this kind of silly humor,” said Feuerstein via telephone.
Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant is one of those movies where you grab your popcorn and soda, kick back and embrace the absurdity. Feuerstein said that he called in every favor in Hollywood to get this picture made, with a cast full of heavyweight like Stanley Tucci, Patrick Warburton, Marcia Gay Harden and Taye Diggs, it’s proof that Feuerstein has been able to keep his friends close.
Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant opens on VOD and in theaters Friday, June 5, 20015
