Barry Allen and Aquaman fan’s rejoice; you’re going to see a fair bit of them in this trailer for Justice League. The trailer was released today during San Diego Comic Con and features Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
After watching the trailer, it’s easy to make comparisons to the recent Marvel films. The film version of Barry Allen shares more than a few traits with the recent Marvel Universe Peter Parker. DC has lost a lot of ground with fans over the past year, especially after the fiasco that was Batman vs. Superman. They are hoping to pick up the edgier crowd with the upcoming Suicide Squad, as well as building a stronger female audience with Wonder Woman in 2017.
The Justice League film comes to theaters next year. I won’t lie; I’m still really hung up on Aquaman finishing a bottle of whiskey and walking into the ocean.
