After five, long years, the regime has taken over the world and no one is able to stand up to the Man of Steel who has a heart of lead.
Black Adam could not dethrone Superman. Plastic Man could not dethrone Superman. Green Lantern has lost his will and given into fear and the only one who has the capability to take down Kal-El is seeking help from a Thanagarian who could be the only one to find one of the last pieces of kryptonite. The catch? Hawkman has to go get it from Mongul. You had to read it to see if he is able to survive the battle to get Batman what he needs.
Luckily for Batman, he has the family and they, minus Nightwing continue to believe in him by helping the Dark Knight enter the Hall of Justice to take down the glorified Bat-Computer, Cyborg and Hawkgirl.
This is one of the best books in the DC Universe, if only it was in the main canon would this hare really shaken things up. I’m eager to see what happens but fearful if it goes the way I think it has to, then the series will end sooner than I would like, but that’s my own selfishness.
You can rest assured, when the omnibus comes out, it will be on my bookshelf.

The Verdict
The DC Universe experiences what it’s like to have Superman turn fascist and the last five years have been hell for any metahuman. Hopefully, Batman’s plan will work.
