The House of El has a new hero, Supergirl looks to be the hero we deserve in the brand new Injustice 2 Shattered Alliances Part 3 Trailer
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Nether Realm Studios deliver us more story with the Injustice 2 Shattered Alliances Part 3. I think with this trailer I am starting to see more of an outline for the game’s story. Superman is going to try to reclaim his position as world dictator/protector, Batman will try to prevent that, Kara will help Superman but realize the error in his ways and try to get him to be the symbol of hope he used to be instead of the fear he now represents. There will likely be a lot more to it, but that’s what I’m feeling as an overall arch. It also looks like Superman is not going to take kindly to Kara’s coming to her senses. Which is a very DIC…tator like move.
While I am glad and thankful for another story trailer, the use of the word “hope” three times -I watched the trailer like 5 times to make sure I got the count right- really irked me. Mainly because Man of Steel ruined that whole association of hope, Superman, and the S symbol. I really do not like that movie. It irks me that they built the universe around that film. I don’t blame any of the performances or anything like that, and the film looks amazing, it is the writing and conceptualization of the universe. Superman’s core is innately flawed and you built the universe around him, the whole universe is infected with the same flaws. Anyway, back to Injustice 2. Kara looks to be playing a major part in the game, and I still have no grasp on the group of villains assembling, so there is a lot going on and very little realized at least by me. I still really want the Teen Titans to come back, and figure out the whole Damian Robin situation… But we’ll have to wait until May to find out.
Injustice 2 is releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One May 16, 2017. Be sure to stay tuned to FBN for all the latest news and updates!
