All Hell’s breaking loose for our favorite Amazon as Wonder Woman begins her trails at the Tartarus Pit on Themyscira. The fears revealed to the princess as she seeks to not only save the baby Zeke, but all of the Olympians. Child traumas, nightmares of pregnancies and disappointing the gods are all apart of the tortures of the Tartarus Pit.
This Herculean adventure is what Wonder Woman is about. The strength, the compassion and all that makes a hero, a hero all rolled up into 22 pages. Meredith Finch understands the character and nothing makes for a better story than when the creator can give life to a hero that has been loved by many for nearly 80 years.
Miguel Mendonca’s art captures the expressions of those who have suffered and endured. His Wonder Woman shows the struggles a warrior faces via life’s challenges. This is a Wonder Woman we are more than happy to continue reading.
