In a grudge match, Croatian legend, Mirko Cro Cop (22-1-0, 9 KO) does battle with bitter rival American, Jarrell Miller (22-1-0, 9 KO). Miller stepped away from a professional boxing career as he seeks redemption.
Big John McCarthy is holding court as Miller and Cro Cop has been landing minimal blows that end up in a tying up in the ring, leading Miller to knee the Croat in the groin and receiving a warning from McCarthy.
The Crowd is chanting for Cro Cop as Cro Cop lands a spinning heel kick, but miller answers back two low kicks and an elbow. That left leg resonated throughout The Fabulous Forum reminding everyone why it lead to the morgue.
Round two is underway and Miller is throwing low kicks to Cro Cop’s right knee, hoping to stop his onslaught that leg to a left kick to the body from the Croatian. Miller has been warned for clinching, which is not allowed in kickboxing as it is in Muay Thai. Cro Cop just misses a left head kick that would have done some serious damage if it had landed.
Third and final round and Cro Cop comes out landing a left-right combo that drives Miller back. Miller yet again lands a groin strike that was heard throughout the arena. McCarthy did not take away a point for the second infraction.
Cro Cop lands that left kick to the head, rocking Miller, and Miller answers with a third groin strike, this time a right knee.
What was a slow and lackluster fight, went to the judges. The winner of this bout and by unanimous decision, Mirko Cro Cop!
