Future Technology from Films

Whether it be a lightsaber from Star Wars, an Iron Man Suit, a Terminator, or a basic jetpack, all of us have watched a film and wished we were able to use that technology in everyday life. Most of the technology in films seems like it’s still in the distant future, or is it?

Vouchercloud has compiled an infographic on technology from films and researched how soon we could be using it ourselves. James Sanders, one of the freelance designers that worked on the project was kind enough to provide us with the infographic and all its juicy details. The infographic focuses on technology from Star Wars and Minority Report. Unlike most infographics out there, this one provides its sources and how they made their predictions.

Some notable details I enjoyed:
– We are one step closer to commercial space flights
– We currently have the technology for self-driving cars
– We are 100-200 years away from being able to download information into our brain
