What was your first Cosplay Experience?
The very first time I cosplayed was back in 2002. I didn’t even know such a thing existed! I was 12 years old and a big fan of Final Fantasy X. I wanted to dress up as Yuna for Halloween but didn’t know how I could get her outfit or anything. Well my grandmother had a kimono that my grandfather had brought back to her from Japan during WWII and she said I could have it. Since Yuna wears a kimono styled outfit I decided that the kimono she gave me would work even though it was red, yellow, green, and nothing like the outfit on the game XD
My dad made me her wand out of a broomstick and cardboard, and I made her hair bead thing out of beads I had but wore it as an earrings rather than in her hair. Pretty much no one knew who I was being except two people. They asked me if I was cosplaying as Yuna and it made me feel so happy to be recognized! Then not until 2006 I came across a website called Cosplay Lab and learned that there were many other people like me who went out and dressed up as characters that they love!

What is your favorite cosplay you have worn/created?
I would have to say my Fem Ronald McDonald cosplay since it is so easily recognizable by like everyone!
If you had unlimited resources, what Cosplay would you create?
Fran from Final Fantasy XII. That has been my dream cosplay since the first time I saw her!
What advice would you offer others trying to break into Cosplay?
Don’t let anything or anyone stop you from enjoying what you do! The most important part is having fun and as long as you aren’t breaking any laws then go for it! 😀
