Comic, Film and Television writer Jeremy Adams Signs a Deal with DC, working on Aquaman, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps.
The first time I met Jeremy Adams at San Diego Comic-Con, just before everything changed with the pandemic. It’s funny how certain memories stick with you, and for some reason, I kept calling him by every J name *except* Jeremy! I think I accidentally went through the whole list of Johns, James, and Josh before getting it right. It was a bit embarrassing, but Jeremy took it in stride, and we ended up chatting for quite a while. It felt like we’d known each other forever, even though we were just getting acquainted.
We talked about all kinds of things, but one topic that came up was Lent and fasting—funny how it’s the time of year where people reflect on sacrifices leading into Easter. And speaking of sacrifice, I asked Jeremy a fun question: What would Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, give up for Lent?
There’s one thing I always seem to bring up whenever I talk to Adams or anyone else at DC—I’ve been really vocal about my dream to voice Simon Baz in a DC Animated feature! I can’t help it; I think the character deserves more spotlight, and I’ve got this deep, personal connection to the idea of bringing him to life in animation. I’m constantly mentioning it, like a broken record, to Jeremy every time we chat, and to anyone else at DC who will listen.
Fast forward to now, and Jeremy is signing a multi-year deal with DC to write some incredible new stories for the publisher. It’s such an exciting time for him, especially since he’s already been a key part of the DC Universe, contributing with titles like ‘The Flash’ and the new ‘Aquaman’ series. What’s even more exciting is his involvement in ‘Green Lantern’, where he’s bringing Hal Jordan back into the fold. You can tell that Jeremy’s passion for these characters is something special, and this new exclusive contract with DC is a reflection of that deep connection he has with the stories and heroes we all love.
It’s been amazing watching Jeremy’s career soar, and I’m thrilled to see where this next chapter takes him. Whether he’s writing comics, contributing to animated films, or working on those fantastic LEGO movies, he’s definitely one of the brightest voices in the entertainment world today.
Adams current books, Green Lantern Corps #1, Aquaman #2 and Green Lantern #20 are integral parts of the “DC All In” publishing initiative and available to be purchased at your local comic shop.
