I reconnected with WOW – Women Of Wrestling Founder David McLane and former WOW World Champion Santana Garrett to discuss her upcoming high-stakes match against the technically sound Sylvia Sanchez. Garrett opens up about her journey back to the top and what it means to once again become a world title contender. McLane reflects on his groundbreaking 40-year legacy starting with Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) and continuing with WOW as the trailblazer who helped bring women’s wrestling into the mainstream. Tensions run high and interference a constant threat, Abilene Maverick and the “IQ Superior” Samantha Smart will be handcuffed to each other ringside to ensure a fair fight.
Also making headlines, the fiery tag team Animal Instinct ofGoldie Collins and Katarina Jinx claim David McLane is running “fowl” on their careers. They’re demanding more television time and a rightful shot at the WOW World Tag Team Championship, and they’re looking to be unleashed on the division.
