Actor, Producer and Hollywood legacy Cole Hauser (Paparazzi, Good Will Hunting, Olympus Has Fall) takes on the role of shamed Olympican John Wright in his latest picture, The Last Champion.
In the film, Wright returns to his hometown after the passing of his mother to put all her affairs in order and in the process becomes the high school wrestling coach after his mentor passes, allowing him to come to terms with his past.
We spoke with Hauser about the significance of this role, why wrestling is so important to the story and how redemption makes us stronger.
The Last Champion is an inspirational family sports drama that will have you believing in second chances. Beautifully photographed in the Pacific Northwest, it’s a story about faith, loss and redemption starring Cole Hauser (Yellowstone), Hallie Todd (Lizzie McGuire), Randall Batinkoff (X-Men: First Class) and Peter Onorati (This is Us). The film is directed, produced and co-written by actor Glenn Withrow (The Outsiders).
