After early fan reactions to screenings of Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios has decided to replace Chadwick Boseman with Zachary Quinto for the Black Panther stand alone movie.
“Marvel cares about our fans and making family friendly films. After early screenings throughout the Mid-West, the overwhelming vocal minority claimed that Chadwick (Boseman) was just, ‘too black’ to be the Black Panther,” said an executive at Marvel who wanted to remain anonymous.
Our source said that in an attempt of finding balance in replacing Boseman and appeasing another underrepresented community, Quinto was the perfect choice to bring in the LGBTQ crowd.
Boseman and Quinto have both been hush-hush about the recasting, but we were assured that Boseman would still play a key role in the film, all signs point to the villain, White Wolf.
On a side note, after early clips of principle shooting were shown to the same audiences, Taran Killam of MadTV and SNL fame has been slated to take on the role of Luke Cage in the upcoming Netflix series.
