The Bliss Trailer shows off a mind and reality-bending love story that will have audiences questions what is truly real
Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my love of The Matrix or the Allegory of the Cave, but I love reality-warping movies. Bliss definitely looks to be in the same vein with a number of worlds and world breaking abilities. Couple that with the confusion and distress of one of its main characters, the film looks to be equal parts thriller, romance, and mind game. I was immediately sold by the opening line, “I don’t know if it’s real. But it has feeling, and the feeling’s real.” That hooked me. Then there’s the major contradictions of real and simulated worlds, different versions of the main characters, some super-powered enacted justice, AND BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY! Yeah, I can’t wait to watch this movie. The R-Rating also leads me to think things get really dark and which is always a great aspect when getting into morality and values.
Bliss is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on February 5, 2021.

Bliss is a mind-bending love story following Greg (Owen Wilson) who, after recently being divorced and then fired, meets the mysterious Isabel (Salma Hayek), a woman living on the streets and convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is nothing but a computer simulation. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild conspiracy.
