Comikaze Entertainment CEO Chris DeMoulin Reveals L.A. Comic Con 2025 Biggest Lineup adding Major Anime Activation and Franchise Reunions
L.A. Comic Con returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center September 26–28, 2025, with its most ambitious slate to date, featuring blockbuster talent, expanded programming, and a brand-new anime installation. I spoke with Chris DeMoulin, CEO of Comikaze Entertainment and longtime showrunner, whom I’ve known since the convention’s second year. Over nearly 13 years, I’ve watched both DeMoulin and the event evolve—what began as a local comic show has grown into one of the largest fan conventions in North America, second only to San Diego Comic-Con.
For 2025,L.A. Comic Con is raising the bar across every category. The main stage will host high-profile appearances from stars including Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, reuniting for the first time since ‘WandaVision‘, as well as franchise panels for ‘Doctor Who‘, ‘Daredevil‘, ‘Scream‘, ‘Starship Troopers‘, ‘Phineas and Ferb‘, and the upcoming CBS series ‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage‘, the latest entry in ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ universe.
New this year is Akiba Station, a 40,000-square-foot anime and Japanese pop culture hub curated by Otaku Collectives. Designed to capture the energy of Tokyo’s Akihabara district, the activation includes interactive exhibits, themed food, arcade gaming, exclusive merchandise, and appearances by major Japanese voice talent, many of whom will be making their first U.S. convention appearances.
Voice actors from globally popular franchises including ‘Baldur’s Gate 3‘, ‘One Piece‘, ‘Demon Slayer‘ and ‘Genshin Impact‘ will be featured on the Gaming and Anime Stage, along with Japanese talent from ‘Dragon Ball‘, ‘Evangelion‘, ‘My Hero Academia‘ and ‘Super Sentai‘. Additional programming includes a Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger cast reunion and a U.S. update from Ultraman production studio Tsuburaya.
The convention will also feature its 12th annual Cosplay National Championship, with $25,000 in prizes, and one of the largest Artist Alleys in the U.S., hosting over 1,000 creators and exhibitors. Top industry names such as Andy Kubert, Charles Soule, Marc Silvestri, and Rose Besch are expected to appear.
With a growing media presence, elevated fan programming, and a wider range of talent than ever before, L.A. Comic Con 2025 is set to deliver its most expansive experience yet.
