Discover Star Trek with 3Doodler’s Star Trek Crew Edition Pen

GameStop, Inc.

We can’t move up the Star Trek: Discovery premiere date, but we can doodle into the final frontier with these six Star Trek Crew edition pens from 3Doodler

Star Date, uhm, today… This is the news coming from a nerd who is nerding out about the Star Trek Crew Edition 3D Pens from 3Doodler! Did you watch that trailer? Look at how cool that is! The Final Frontier of creativity can be ours! Under license by CBS Consumer Products, 3Doodler is launching these limited edition 3D Pens. This special Kickstart ‘Gold’ campaign will offer a limited release of six Star Trek Crew Edition 3D Pens that pay homage to both Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation. All Star Trek crew edition pen sets come with a limited edition 3Doodler Create 3D pen, numbered engravings, an additional pack of plastic, special Star Trek Project Stencils, and a special 3Doodler Star Trek Leather Pouch!

That means even if you are bad at doodling, let alone 3doodling, you can make some awesome Star Trek inspired projects thanks to the stencils. (Which is exactly what I’ll be using). Here’s official information from 3Doodler’s press release:

“The worldwide phenomenon of 3Doodler would’ve never happened without the initial commitment of the
Kickstarter community,” said Max Bogue, CEO of WobbleWorks, Inc which owns 3Doodler. “With two successfully
funded campaigns totaling over $3.89 million, we wanted to return our gratitude with these exclusive Star Trek
Crew Edition pens that we’ve created with CBS Consumer Products. These limited Edition pens are only available
on Kickstarter for the next 20 days and will start to ship mere days after the Kickstarter campaign ends.”

There will be six separate Limited Edition Pen Sets:
o From Star Trek: The Original Series
o The Command Division pen set – for those who know how to take charge and love green beings
o The Operations Division pen set – because you know how to fix things
o The Sciences Division pen set – when you need more than just Bones to solve your problem
o Star Trek: The Next Generation
o The Command Division pen set – so that you can make it so
o The Operations Division pen set – to really get a handle on tactical or fix that warp core
o The Sciences Division pen set – so you can crush it in the medical bay or make a new telescope

For community members who already own a 3Doodler, the company is also offering a 3Doodler Create Star Trek
Project Kit, which comes with a special Star Trek Project Guide, packed with detailed step-by-step instructions for
Star Trek themed projects, & 3 packs of plastic (75 strands) in a selection of Star Trek specific colors, all for $24.99
($29.99 Retail Value). The kits will offer Doodlers a chance to make a variety of items taken from the series
included Vulcan ears, a Klingon forehead, and their very own Enterprise from both Star Trek: The Original Series
and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Experience the final frontier of creativity and bring your favorite Star Trek
moments to life in your own home!

“We were blown away the first time we saw a 3Doodler pen drawing in midair,” said Julio Terra, Kickstarter’s
director of technology and design. “And today we’re so happy to have 3Doodler back on Kickstarter as part of a
celebration of creativity called Kickstarter Gold. We invited 3Doodler and other beloved creators to launch new
projects inspired by favorite rewards and ideas from past campaigns. Their Star Trek sets are a fun twist on their
classic pens.”

I’m really excited about this. Mainly I want to make Geordi La Forge’s Visor. I just hope I can make it so I can actually see through it. Actually, I’d probabaly make a Klingon Bat’leth. George Takei want’s Vulcan ears.
