Not only is The Gore Gore Girls the final Herschell Gordon Lewis film to be featured in our 31 Days of Horror, it was the final film that Herschell Gordon Lewis would make for 30 years until his return behind the camera for Blood Feast 2: All You Can Eat. While there was always a certain sexual element to Lewis’ work, he never employed graphic nudity until The Gore Gore Girls. It’s honestly a shame that Herschell Gordon Lewis stopped making movies after The Gore Gore Girls because it’s one of his most polished works, or as close to polished as he’ll ever get.
