We already brought you news of MTV’s ‘Scream‘ series earlier today, but the former Music Television news don’t stop there. THR reports that eight years after its final episode aired on our screens, Celebrity Deathmatch is coming back to MTV2.
Celebrity Deathmatch originally ran for six seasons spread out over nine years, bringing us the goriest, most brutal clay animation ever seen on television. The network has ordered a pilot from original creator Eric Fogel and Wasteland Entertainment, with Chris McCarthy and Paul Ricci as executive producers.
The new Celebrity Deathmatch “will again feature animated no-holds-barred fantasy fights between infamous figures from entertainment and pop culture and will be reimagined for a social media world and hourly Twitter wars.”
