Who Lurks: Deceive Your Friends or Eliminate the Threat
Who Lurks is a one-of-a-kind party game of deception from Hybrid Humans, a studio based in the United Arab Emirates. The game is set to release for mobile devices on May 10th. Players will gather 3-6 of their closest friends, enemies, or frenemies for a test of wit, memory, and reflexes to bring the Alien out of hiding before it is too late.
Intruder
An Alien is disguised as a member of the ship to secretly sabotage everything so that the crew never finds a new home for humanity. The alien is selected at random before the beginning of the game. For the sake of humanity, the crew has to survive until the end of the game. With five or six players, a second alien might be added to the mix, just to make things worse.
Everyone, Alien included, is assigned a role:
- Captain
- Soldier
- Pilot
- Engineer
- Doctor
- Chef
Players will encounter missions via minigames. At the start of each minigame, the crew selects someone for the mission. Each role excels at certain tasks, but if the wrong specialist is chosen, the mission becomes more difficult. If the Alien is chosen, the player will choose between purposefully failing the mission to cause the most damage or successfully completing the mission to avoid suspicion. Hope you have a good poker face.
At the end of each round, the crew as a whole gets to eliminate one of their members as a possible Alien traitor. Choose carefully because for every innocent lost crew member, the crew loses that character’s specialization and the Alien is one step closer to victory.
Solo
The player is the last surviving member and will be alone on the missions. Complete enough missions, a special module will be unlocked that will allow the player to figure out the identity of the Alien in multiplayer games.
