Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground Factions Breakdown
Get an up-close look at the action-packed, turn-base combat of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground! Developed by Gasket Games and published by Focus Home Interactive, Storm Ground is based on Games Workshop’s iconic “Age of Sigmar” IP, a dark fantasy universe where immortal knights ride heavenly stardrakes to eradicate Death across a multitude of realms. Players will play one of three factions – the stalwart Stormcast Eternals, ghoulish Nighthaunt, and putrescent Maggotkin – and lead their highly customizable forces in a fast-paced, dynamic, turn-based strategic action game! Below is more on each faction:
The Eternals, Storm Ground’s sturdiest warriors, are worthy of their name. Banding together in tight formations around their hero allows them to withstand tons of damage and shine in long battles.
Nighthaunts, on the other hand, are much more fragile, relying on debuffs to weaken their enemies and summoning units to overwhelm them.
Last, but not least, the Maggotkin compensate their generally sluggish movement with an unrivaled ability to control the battlefield, turning hex tiles into dangerous hazard zones that inflict debilitating effects on the toughest of enemies with ease.
What’s really exciting about the game is that each non-linear, procedurally generated, single-player campaign offers a new experience whenever you begin for pretty much infinite replayability. You’ll be able to upgrade your army in campaign mode by collecting new heroes, units, wargear, skills, weapons and more. New units will allow you to build your army your way, choosing who to field with each new battle and customizing every facet of their equipment to match your playstyle. Meanwhile, multiplayer will have you gaining a collection and evolving your army steadily over time as you win battles against real players online.
