Walt Disney Animation Studios have carried on the tradition of the animated short, typically attaching a different short film to many of their feature length animated films. These shorts are typically a bit more daring than what you’d see in a typical feature, simultaneously testing the limits of story and technology. On August 18th, you can finally take many of the most recent shorts home on one comprehensive Blu-ray. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Short Film Collection features shorts from 2000-2015, including the wildly popular Frozen Fever. Of course, a fair number of these shorts have taken home Oscars in the animated short film category. This set looks to be a must-have for the devoted Disney-heads.
