Warning: Mild Spoilers:
In the latest installment of the FX smash hit, Tyrant, the plot thickens in Abbudin as Bassam Al Fayeed (Adam Rayner) is slowly returning to his true nature and pulling away from his Americanized persona of Barry.
As Sheik Rashid (Mohammad Bakri) is suffering from brain swelling in the hospital at the hands of President Jamal Al Fayeed (Ashraf Barhom). Barry uses his medical knowledge to help Jamal out with this little situation.
Nothing is ever simple in a land full of secrets and the more one tries to run from their past, the faster it catches up with them. Barry believes that Jamal is a ticking time bomb and with their uncle, General Tariq Al Fayeed (Raad Rawl) having an itchy trigger finger to restore order by the old ways, Jamal will eventually explode.
The pediatrician’s idea of diplomacy is blending the bad habits of the old world while incorporating them with the learned bad habits of the new world. A dangerously sharp blade mixing American might with Arab cunning.
The question is, are American diplomat John Tucker (Justin Kirk) and secret agent, Lea Exley (Leslie Hope) willing to turn on the devil they do know in Jamal in order to help the devil they think they can control because of his American tendencies after living in the new world for more than a quarter of a century?
Tyrant airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. EST/PST time on FX.
