Everybody Raise Your Gadgets and Toast -Toast iPad Mini 2 Cover Review

GameStop, Inc.

Simply sleek and effortlessly classy, Toast Covers your gadgets in peerless style – Toast iPad Mini 2 Cover Review

There are numerous different tablets available for consumers. But really, there are only like four choices most will make. That means a lot of people will have identical items. How do we distinguish our gear from everyone else’s? We buy covers and protectors. Covers and protectors are our way of having the best, and still being able to be distinguishable from the rest. And I have to say, there is no cover more distinguishable than Toast.

A quick recap of Toast Covers, Toast makes origami-esque, laser-cut covers perfectly designed to protect your gadget with naturally durable wood. They come pre-designed for a number of popular gadgets, like phones and tablets, but also have the option for custom designed covers for any of your smaller electronics like gaming consoles and laptops.

I was lucky enough to get a toast iPad Mini 2 Cover and to be frank, I love it.

Installation of Toast Covers are really easy, especially in contrast to film-like protects like Invisishield. The perfect last cut design leaves very little room for error, and the 3M adhesive is forgivable enough to allow you to really get your cover alignment just right. It is also a huge relief to not have to use a rubber edge to squeeze out any air bubbles! The wood surface allows you to use your hands and ensure a strong and solid stick with the cover and your device. Then the laser cut precision allows you to just essentially press everything down onto your device until it is covered. Out of any skin type covering, it is the easiest installation with by far the best visual pay off. Snap covers are the only thing that would be easier to install. You can see the installation process and the results in the video above.

Visually speaking, this is hands down my favorite gadget cover. The wood finish adds a touch of class that is almost magnetic to the eyes. It looks awesome. Something about technology having a natural look just really elevates its visual appeal. I think the reason it looks so good is that Toast Covers are perfectly designed to the gadget’s natural shape that it enhances the innate artistic design of it. Toast even covers the buttons of the device, which is something that most other covers tend to skip or do poorly.

My one reservation about Toast Covers is that they do not seem designed for impact. It will stop scrapes and scratches, but dropping your gadget doesn’t seem like a worry you can lose with Toast Covers. It’s not a big reservation, and it’s unreasonable to expect with such a snug and custom fit. But one of the things I usually consider when buying a case or cover for my devices is the full protection of my device. Toast Covers will help for the smaller threats, but it does not account for anything major, or even screen protection. So in terms of device protection, Toast Covers are not ideal for someone expecting heavy wear and tear.

Overall, Toast Covers are still among the best-looking covers available for your gadgets. The precision wood finish instantly classes up your gear and makes your device stand out, and you can always get a custom engraving to personalize the cover and yoru device even more. If you’re looking for the most protection possible for your device, Toast Covers isn’t the best pick. But if you’re looking to really personalize, customize, and impress others with your device, a Toast Cover is the way to go. My Toast iPad Mini 2 Cover review gets a 4.5/5
