Gotham: The Complete First Season is coming for home ownership soon. The release includes extras like this clip, “This is Gotham.”
Here, executive producer Bruno Heller talk of blending times to create a “dream world” for Gotham, one that features cell phones from this period, cars from the 1970’s and buildings from the 1940’s, making a world everyone can recognize, but that no one can pin down. Writer Megan Mostyn-Brown talks of the movies the writers draw on, and actor Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin) describes the brutal world that Penguin and his ilk find as their reality.
