Prime Video debuts the official The Wheel of Time trailer in a first-of-its-kind YouTube experience. Utilizing YouTube’s 360 players, the trailer offers a full 360° immersive viewing experience that allows viewers to watch the traditional 2-D trailer in a virtual three-dimension “Wheel.” Fans will also notice the encompassing spatial audio to accompany the added visual dimension.
The 360 experience is more easily experienced on mobile devices, as the viewing angle will change as the watcher moves. However, there is always the option of using the directional pad to explore the space. To the left of the screen, fans will discover Moiraine’s (Rosamund Pike) powerful “One Power” channeling—featuring her voice and faces, artifacts, and symbols hidden amongst the energy weaves. On the right, the corruption of the Dark One represents a dissention into madness.
The Wheel of Time has already captured the intrigue of fans through the teaser and history of the books. This 360 Experience adds a new layer and raises expectations pretty high.
Sony Pictures Television’s world-building fantasy series will premiere globally on Prime Video on November 19, 2021, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide
