Everyone’s favorite set of toys is returning once again. Almost ten years after their last adventure in the beloved Toy Story 3, Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) return for Toy Story 4, which sees Josh Cooley taking over directing duties. Today brings us the first teaser of Toy Story 4, a little glimpse at the returning roster of animated toys who are joined by a new makeshift toy in Forky (voiced by Tony Hale). The new addition is certainly an interesting creation and Forky has the internet abuzz with its offbeat look.
There is something about Toy Story 4 that reeks of a money grab. I can’t help myself with having this kind of cynical reaction to continuing the animated tales of a toy box come to life. However, it’s hard to doubt the brain trust at Pixar, and they’ve recently proven with Incredibles 2 that they’re able to wait as long as it takes to deliver a movie that meets their incredibly high standards.
This new teaser will play before Ralph Breaks the Internet when it opens on November 21, 2018. Details for Toy Story 4 are mostly under wraps for this fourth adventure, but expectations will be high for fans of the Toy Story franchise. There will be many more looks at those lovable characters and their imminent return ahead of Toy Story 4‘s release date of June 21, 2019.
