Like the other streaming services out there, Hulu has plunged itself deep into the world of original programming. This month alone the streaming service has unveiled originals like the Triumph Election Special and the adaptation of Stephen King‘s 11.22.63. Now we have the trailer for Hulu’s latest original show, a cult oriented drama called The Path, which stars Aaron Paul, Hugh Dancy, and Michelle Monaghan.
Created by Jessica Goldberg, The Path tells the story of a family sucked into the world of a cult. The trailer for the series, which is set to premiere on Hulu starting on March 30th, sets an ominous tone for what’s to follow, which is likely an exploration of faith in a niche and how it affects the loved ones that surround it. We certainly know that Aaron Paul has the dramatic chops to lead such an ambitious series as we’ve seen his stellar work in Breaking Bad, and it’ll be nice to see the under-utilized Michelle Monaghan take the reigns of a role that isn’t going to leave her talents to waste (*cough* Pixels). Cults fascinate society, and The Path has all the makings to become the next cult TV show.
