So much for subtlety, eh? I kid, but the trailer for Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur seems to wrapped in bow of total sentimentality, right down to the innocuous uplifting pop song rumbling in the background. Of course, it has taken a long time for The Good Dinosaur to reach theaters. Nearly 5 years of stops and starts almost derailed the production, but, finally, The Good Dinosaur is ready to reach theaters with its impressive vocal cast including Raymond Ochoa, Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin, Sam Elliott, and Frances McDormand. Even if I find this trailer underwhelming, and I do, it would be crazy to write off a Pixar film due to the errors of a marketing department. Their track record speaks for itself.
The Good Dinosaur is directed by Pixar veteran Peter Sohn, making his feature length directorial debut. For those traumatized by the events of Jurassic World, The Good Dinosaur opens November 25th, 2015 to make you think of dinosaurs in a positive light again.
The official synopsis for The Good Dinosaur:
