Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse is down one Colossus and up one Nightcrawler, as Daniel Cudmore will not be returning to the franchise as Piotr Rasputin, and Kodi Smit-McPhee has been cast as Kurt Wagner. Singer announced the casting, as he likes to do, through his Instagram account. Kodi will play a younger Nightcrawler in the upcoming sequel.
Doug Jones, famous for playing Abe Sapien and the Silver Surfer amongst others has reportedly joined the cast of Arrow. Jones will portray Jake Simmons, aka Deathbolt, a character with “the ability to harness and weaponize plasma energy”. He will make his debut with episode 19, Broken Arrow. It is notable that this will be the first time a fully powered villain has made their debut on Arrow.
