SuperMash, the game-making game, is coming to Steam, on January 13.
Have you ever wanted to make our own game but lack to ability/patience to produce the art and code in order to do so? Well developer Digital Continue has got you covered. Digital Continue has announced that their hit game-making game, SuperMash, is coming to Steam next week on January 13, 2021. The game explores the storyline of a video game store clerk who comes across a magical console that can randomly generate a video game by mashing two game genres. Here’s a little list of features from Digital Contine:
In SuperMash players can:
-
Mash together six unique 2D game genres, including Metrovania, Shoot ‘em Up, Stealth, Platformer, JRPG, and Action Adventure. Each can be combined with itself or one of the other genres.
-
Further customize generated Mashes with collectable in-game Dev Cards, which allow them to pick and choose specific characters, enemies, worlds, and more every time they play.
-
Run a video game shop stocked with retro hybrids of player-created games.
-
Share their favorite combinations with the world through unique codes generated for each Mash.
The game will be available retail for $19.99 but will launch with a 10% discount and the Deluxe Edition will have a 25% discount when it releases on Steam next week. For those who can’t wait, the game is currently available for the retail price of $19.99 on the Epic Game Store, PlayStation Store, Xbox Games Store, or Nintendo eShop.
