Superman Searches for Supergirl in ‘Action Comics #51’

GameStop, Inc.

Action 51Title: Action Comics #51

Writer(s): Peter J. Tomasi

Artist(s): Paul Pelletier

Inker(s): Sandra Hope Archer

Colorist(s): Tomeu Morey

Release Date: April 20, 2016

Thanks to Vandal Savage, Superman is dying and Supergirl is losing her powers. As the Man of Steel finds his cousin who has been missing for the past several weeks at a DEO facility where she is attempting to regain her powers.

It was reasonable for Superman to assume she was in trouble and in need of rescuing, but what was more important is that she received the keys to the kingdom as he passes on the responsibility of taking care of the earth to Supergirl, granting her all access to every piece of technology and Kryptonian history within the Fortress of Solitude.

A dying Superman is nothing new, but a humanized alien is a magic touch that Peter Tomasi has with this character. Paul Pelletier’s art is quite flashy and exciting. What’s next for Superman will be revealed in Superman Wonder Woman.

Will Superman die? Will he find a cure? What is next for the Man of Tomorrow?
